Very nice place to visit and for bath :). It’s very near to my place, but I went there last week only . Around 50 kms from aluva and 20 kms from perumbavoor, wonderful sight of periyar river flowing through rocks.
Just spend the time in the banks of Periyar river enjoying the tranquility.
During summer, the area around Poru is a very cool and refreshing. Walk around the banks and can cross the river to the half by walking on the tops of rocks. A good scenic photographic location. Though the place is of stunning scenic beauty, but its one of the most dangerous water bodies in Kerala. Quite lots of people have lost their lives here. The deep shafts between the rocks are tricky and if you lost into this, its difficult to be saved. Red flags are there for to inform dangerous places.No amenities here - please bring your water and eatables. You can spend the day here in the water. NJOYYYY
