I WANDER'D lonely as a cloud
That floats on high o'er vales and hills,
When all at once I saw a crowd,
A host, of golden daffodils;
Beside the lake, beneath the trees,
Fluttering and dancing in the breeze.
Continuous as the stars that shine
And twinkle on the Milky Way,
They stretch'd in never-ending line
Along the margin of a bay:
Ten thousand saw I at a glance,
Tossing their heads in sprightly dance.
The waves beside them danced; but they
Out-did the sparkling waves in glee:
A poet could not but be gay,
In such a jocund company:
I gazed -- and gazed -- but little thought
What wealth the show to me had brought:
For oft, when on my couch I lie
In vacant or in pensive mood,
They flash upon that inward eye
Which is the bliss of solitude;
And then my heart with pleasure fills,
And dances with the daffodils.
William Wordsworth (1770-1850).

Heinz Stucke - The man who wanted to see it all

In search of adventure and with the desire to see something of the world, I started my tour around the globe in August 1960, from my home town of Hovelhof - Germany. I was 20. 17,000 Km and 20 countries later I was back home but not for long. From November, 1962, up to the present day I have been cycling and travelling non-stop...Click Here

Khasab Oman

DRIVING along a rocky red cliff, with deep canyons yawning below, one could be forgiven for mistaking this rugged place for Utah. But this is the Musandam Peninsula of Oman, an Arabian land of pristine seas, jagged peaks and, for the moment, few tourists. But its proximity to booming Dubai, just two hours south, and a modern road means more development is on its way.
Separated from the rest of Oman by the United Arab Emirates, the mountainous land juts out like a ship’s prow into the Strait of Hormuz, which links the Persian Gulf and the Gulf of Oman. The contrast with its oil-rich neighbor is visible as soon as you cross the border. Construction cranes and cement factories give way to a smooth two-lane highway hugging the calm gulf waters. The road winds past date plantations and small villages that extend back into wadis, deep limestone valleys carved by seasonal floods over millenniums.
Humpback dolphins can be easily spotted in the aquamarine waters of the fjordlike bays.

Paniyeli Poru
Very nice place to visit and for bath :). It’s very near to my place, but I went there last week only . Around 50 kms from aluva and 20 kms from perumbavoor, wonderful sight of periyar river flowing through rocks.
Just spend the time in the banks of Periyar river enjoying the tranquility.
During summer, the area around Poru is a very cool and refreshing. Walk around the banks and can cross the river to the half by walking on the tops of rocks. A good scenic photographic location. Though the place is of stunning scenic beauty, but its one of the most dangerous water bodies in Kerala. Quite lots of people have lost their lives here. The deep shafts between the rocks are tricky and if you lost into this, its difficult to be saved. Red flags are there for to inform dangerous places.No amenities here - please bring your water and eatables. You can spend the day here in the water. NJOYYYY
